We made reservations for eight people on Christmas Day. The place was packed. The line was out the door. The phone rang continually for pick orders. The service took a very long time because they were short staffed. I felt bad for the staff who had to keep up with all the irrational customers waiting. Nevertheless when the food arrived it was well prepared and tasty. This was extraordinary circumstance and I forgive the service. I would come here again on a normal night for sure. Great old school Chinese food.

Looks small and unassuming from the outside and the parking lot looks really rough, but inside the food and service is a real gem! All the food we ordered was delicious with nice hefty portions and very good pricing. We liked it so much that we drove all the way from West LA to try it a second time!

We got food for pickup. My only real complaint is that their parking lot needs more lights. They were super nice, and the interior of the restaurant looks nice. The food was delicious. We're definitely going back

I have been to this place several times, and each time I come, I wonder why I don't come more often. The food is traditional Chinese dishes that are always executed well. The food comes out quickly, and you can taste the freshness. But what stands out the most to me is the service. I'm not sure if our server was the owner, but he treated us really well. Checked on us often without being pushy. Seening him interacting with the regulars was also nice to see. He treats everyone like family. During my most recent visit, we got the sizzling rice soup, pungent shrimp, and the house special fried rice. The portions were generous, and everything tasted great. Thank you very much!!

Based off the Yelp reviews for Golden City, I wasn't entirely sure if this would knock it out of the park, but I was pleasantly surprised! It's certainly not much to look at from the outside, but I'm so happy I finally gave it a try. I was not disappointed! Delivery was timely and food arrived hot. We ordered for a group of people and there was plenty of food to go around. We ordered the salt and pepper shrimp, orange chicken, beef chow fun, sweet and sour pork, and combo fried rice. Everything was delicious! Food tasted fresh and portions were impressive. Pretty fair price wise as well. The salt and pepper shrimp and the sweet and sour pork were some of my favorites. The organge chicken packed a lot of flavor and was just the perfect ratio of crispy to tender chicken. Nothing was dry or overly oily. This is my new spot for Chinese takeout!
